Telewest Business wins Stroud and Swindon Building Society
contract to supply IPVPN
July 13 2004. Telewest Business, the supplier of broadband
communications to public and private sector markets, has been
chosen to provide Stroud and Swindon Building Society with a Wide
Area Network (WAN) IPVPN.
Headquartered in Stroud, Gloucestershire with 22 local branches
and 25 agency branches located mainly in the South West of the
England. Stroud and Swindon Building Society had a growing need to
improve the links between all their sites in order to increase
access to customer information, transactions and account details
held in different branches.
After a tender in process in February Telewest won the contract
to provide a WAN IPVPN. The WAN IVPN will connect all the branch
sites, both local and agency, and link them via the Telewest IP
network.
Speaking on the new contract, Keith Henley, senior manager –
Business & Information Systems, Stroud and Swindon Building
