13 November 2006. ntl:Telewest Business, the supplier of
communications services to the public and private sectors, is
enabling Andrews Estate Agents to ensure high levels of property
buyer and seller services for its customers across southern
England.
The company, based at Keynsham near Bristol, is the 11th largest
independent estate and lettings agent in the UK, with 73 businesses
throughout the south west and south east. Andrews commissioned
ntl:Telewest Business to build a Wide Area Network (WAN) for
high-speed data services required to support the operation of the
company’s web site and all branches, in particular by providing
resilience in line with Andrews’ disaster recovery planning. The
company maintains a strategy of providing superior customer service
both through its in-branch experience and web-based information
services.
Andrews is a pioneer in its sector in that it was founded by
humanitarian and entrepreneur Cecil Jackson Cole in 1946, with the
goal of returning profits back to projects that benefit society. It
is owned by three charitable trusts that provide seed funding to
charitable ventures.
“We set incredibly high standards for customer service and our
communications network has to work hand-in-hand with our people to
deliver it,” said Andy Ferrington, ICT Manager for Andrews Estate
Agents. “ntl:Telewest Business has proven that it has the high
level of customer service and responsiveness that we need. The
level of attention to detail and the specific network package
developed made us feel that ntl:Telewest Business is a close
partner in helping us to deliver superior service to our
customers.”
“Andrews is a business that has chosen to put its customer
service firmly in the spotlight and it cannot afford for its
network to let customers down,” said John Cunningham, director of
business markets, ntl:Telewest Business. “By getting under the skin
of how Andrews operates we have been able to provide a network and
associated business continuity services that meets its specific
needs directly.”
The hybrid Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IPVPN) and
Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) network connects branches across
Avon, Gloucestershire, Kent, London, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex
and Wiltshire. As one of the first independent estate agents to
sign up to the Ombudsman Scheme for Estate Agents, Andrews has set
new standards of professionalism and customer focus within the
estate agency industry.
